Terms of Service
These terms explain the rules for using the Astra website and Astra Discord bot. By using either service, you agree to follow these terms and the rules of the platforms Astra relies on.
01Using Astra
“Astra” or “Services” means the Astra website and the Astra Discord bot. These terms apply when you visit the website, invite the bot, or use its commands. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
The Services are operated by the Astra project operator (“Astra”, “we”, “us”). To contact us about these terms, use the Astra support server.
02Discord and eligibility
You must meet Discord’s minimum age and any higher minimum age required where you live. Your use of Discord remains subject to Discord’s Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and applicable developer policies. These Astra terms do not replace Discord’s terms.
Astra is an independent service and is not sponsored by or affiliated with Discord.
03Server administrator responsibilities
If you invite Astra or configure it for a server, you confirm that you have permission to do so and to grant the requested Discord permissions. You are responsible for choosing the bot’s permissions and settings, informing server members about relevant bot behavior, and ensuring that use of the bot complies with your server rules and applicable law.
Moderation, antinuke, logging, welcome, voice, and other commands can change server settings or affect members. Check a command’s effects and permissions before using it. You are responsible for the actions taken by your administrators and for reviewing configurations that Astra stores for your server.
04Acceptable use
You may use Astra only for lawful purposes and in accordance with Discord’s rules. You must not use Astra to harass, threaten, or harm others; violate privacy or intellectual property rights; distribute unlawful content; attempt to bypass permissions or security controls; disrupt the Services; or use Discord’s APIs in an abusive or unauthorized way.
Do not use Astra to collect or retain Discord data beyond what is needed for the bot’s stated features. You must not use data obtained through Discord to profile people, sell or disclose it for advertising, or train AI models.
05Availability and changes
We work to keep Astra useful, but we do not promise that the website or bot will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every server setup. Features may change, be limited, or be discontinued. Discord may also change or limit its platform and APIs.
We may suspend or end access to Astra where reasonably needed to protect users, servers, the Services, or to address misuse or legal requirements.
06Third-party services
Astra relies on third-party services, including Discord, website hosting, and Google Fonts. Those providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for services that we do not control.
07Ownership
Astra and its original branding, website design, and materials belong to the Astra project operator or their respective rights holders. You may use Astra through its intended features, but these terms do not transfer ownership or grant permission to copy, resell, or misrepresent the Services. Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their own licenses.
08Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not make warranties that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Astra is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of data, or actions taken by Discord or server members. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, or your mandatory statutory rights.
09Privacy and data requests
Our Privacy Policy explains how the website and bot handle information. You can contact the operator through the Astra support server with questions or requests.
10Updates and contact
We may update these terms by publishing a revised version on this page. The effective date above shows when the current version took effect. If you continue to use Astra after an update, you agree to the revised terms to the extent allowed by law.
